Account Deletion and Data Erasure

This page explains how to request closure of an iTNet account and, where applicable, deletion or erasure of related personal data.

1. Scope of Requests

Account deletion requests may apply to customer portal accounts, user profiles, access credentials, and related personal data processed by iTNet in connection with websites, hosted services, support systems, and commercial operations. The exact effect of a deletion request depends on the service used, the contractual relationship, and applicable legal obligations.

2. How to Submit a Request

  • Send an email to privacy@itnet247.nl.
  • Use the subject line Account Deletion Request or Data Erasure Request.
  • Include the email address, account identifier, company name, and service details associated with the request.
  • If the request is made on behalf of an organization or another individual, include proof of authority to act for that account or data subject.

3. Verification and Review

Before taking action, iTNet may verify identity, account ownership, organizational authority, and the scope of the request. This verification step is required to protect account security, prevent unauthorized deletion, and ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

4. Effect of an Approved Request

Once a valid request is approved, iTNet may close the relevant account, revoke access, disable credentials, and remove or anonymize eligible personal data from active systems within a reasonable operational timeframe.

  • Access to the affected services, portals, environments, or subscriptions may end immediately or at the end of the applicable service period.
  • Data stored in active systems may no longer be recoverable after deletion is completed.
  • Backups, archives, logs, and replicated systems may retain data for a limited period until normal rotation, purge, or compliance cycles are completed.

5. Data That May Be Retained

Important Information

iTNet may retain limited data where continued retention is required or justified for legal compliance, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, security investigations, dispute resolution, contract enforcement, evidentiary preservation, or other lawful business purposes. Retained records may include billing records, audit trails, support history, contractual documents, and security logs.

6. Commercial and Contractual Impact

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel invoices, waive payment obligations, terminate signed agreements, or create a refund entitlement. If services were purchased by an employer, organization, or contracting entity, iTNet may need to coordinate the request with the relevant account owner before action is taken.

7. Processing Timeline

iTNet aims to review and respond to valid requests within a reasonable period and, where applicable law imposes a response deadline, within that required timeframe. Complex requests, identity verification issues, multi-system removals, or contractual review may extend the handling period where lawfully permitted.
